Update...

Finally found: An international participant in a science slam on videotape and published online!
In mid-february there was a science slam taking place at the "Lido" a popular venue located close to the center of Berlin, Germany. Amongst other contesters Vinay Rambai, an international participant ventured into the scienceslam and proved his skills with the topic "The Good, the Bad, and the Kidney" with which he succesfully competed other contesters and was declared the winner. So feel free to check out his presentation which is placed in this blog under Scienceslam.

We hope that this might inspire and motivate one or another to give his or her own presentation about a juicy topic and to stand up against other interesting talks. We welcome you to share your interest with us to start slamming in the near future.

ScienceSlam? Never heard...

As ScienceSlam might sound new to some of you out there, soon there will be a file uploaded which imparts a bunch of facts, numbers and examples of slams that have been held in the past. However if there are burning issues that need to be mentioned, go to contact and just ask for clarification.

For the rest that is farily familiar or at least knows what scienceslamming is roughly about, have a short glance at the following link:

Here a short description what it is about:

Riveting talks by remarkable people, free to the world

TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader.
Have fun watching but watch out: it's addictive!
